Three Good Options

About Three Good Options

Three Good Options is run by a former dealership service advisor, with about 25 years in luxury-brand dealership service departments in advising, management and operations roles.

A service advisor's job is explaining to drivers what's wrong with their car, what it will take to fix it, and what's actually worth doing. This site does the same for the car care gear you can buy yourself.

What we do

Every guide starts with the problem, written the way a service advisor writes it up: the concern, the cause and the correction. Then we narrow the choice to three good options, each for a different situation, and say plainly who should skip each one.

How the guides are made

We use AI tools to help research and draft guides. Every spec, rating and price on a guide is checked against the manufacturer's or retailer's own listing before it's published, and each guide links to those sources. We haven't run hands-on tests of the products in our current guides. If we test something ourselves, the guide will say so.

The full method is on How we pick.

Money

Nobody pays us to include a product, and we don't earn anything from links yet. If we join affiliate programs, links that can earn us a commission will be labeled and listed on our disclosure page. A commission won't change which products we pick.
